O Son do Camiño, which is part of the promotional events for the Xacobeo Year 2021, closed its first edition with a resounding success, both in terms of organisation and in terms of public response. The influx of spectators was massive throughout the three days of the event, whose headliners included names like The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Jamiroquai or Lenny Kravitz, along with Galician bands such as Carminha News or Bizarro Love Triangle.
M80 Radio took part in the event to celebrate its 25th anniversary, and from an English convertible bus prepared for the occasion, it broadcasted and contributed with more music each of the three days of concerts on Monte do Gozo. For this, they counted on the support of the Revi Group.
From the expectation generated by the festival, the sales figures for the three days are clear: the first 11,000 tickets flew in forty minutes, and in less than two hours the 20,000 had been sold. These are figures that seem to confirm that O Son do Camiño is a type of event that the city demands and that can work in upcoming editions, once the continuity of the festival has been confirmed until, at least, 2021.
